25 - 27 September 2025
The project aims to promote the history of Lidia and Jan Bohdan Chmielewski's sculpture studio in Praga, as well as to highlight the significance of both artists' creative and educational work. During the festival, the studio will host an exhibition entitled “Inclusivity of Space. The Work of Zbigniew Makowski.”
This year's festival will include:
- guided tours of the studio of artists Lidia and Jan Bohdan Chmielewski, with presentations of their creative biographies and artistic objects preserved inside — mosaics, reliefs, and stained glass;
- a display of archival photographs from the studio in cooperation with the Praga Museum;
- the opening of the exhibition “Inclusivity of Space. The Work of Zbigniew Makowski (1930–2019)” which is intended for blind and visually impaired people as well as others, accompanied by a chamber music concert;
- a panel discussion on the accessibility of visual arts for people with visual impairments, with the participation of scientists and practitioners;
- a lecture by Przemysław Głowacki (artdone.pl) on modern relief.
The festival is a recurring event that will take place annually in September/October, the month of artist Jan Bohdan Chmielewski's birthday.
As part of the project, a guided tour will be held on September 6, 2025, as part of the Haller Square Festival.
