Dr Magdalena Furmanik-Kowalska
Research manager of the foundation, historian and critic of modern and contemporary art. Graduated in 'Art Studies' (2014) and 'Preservation of Cultural Heritage' (2006) from Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń. Lecturer of the WIT Academy in Warsaw. Deputy director of the Research Centre of the Polish Institute of World Art Studies. Coordinated dozens of research and publishing projects. Initiator of a series of publications on the cultural meanings of clothing (“Strój - zwierciadło kultury” [2013], “Sztuka stroju, strój w sztuce” [2016] and “Co (nie) przystoi mężczyźnie. Ubiór męski w sztuce i kulturze” [2020]). Author of books, articles, and reviews of modern and contemporary art exhibitions (Obieg, ARTluK, niezlasztuka.pl, rynekisztuka.pl). Curator of several dozen art exhibitions by Polish young artists (Wozownia, RE:Wizje, Galearnia, HOarT Studio).
